The Fairbank Society
Emergency Cover Sleepover role at The Fairbank Society, Kirkby Lonsdale.
The Fairbank Society is seeking to employ a person/s to provide overnight Fire Alarm cover for their remotely monitored alarm system in their Supported Living site for Older Independent people in Kirkby Lonsdale. This will be a role on a rota which involves a sleep in service on site. A staff flat solely for use when on rota is provided.
The role can be fulfilled by someone who does not have work commitments every day and is looking for a small amount of extra income or someone who doesn’t work currently and feels that this would fit with other household/family commitments. They would need to be reliable and trustworthy and have some experience of working or engaging with older people. There could be an opportunity to combine some light cooking with the role to enable the person to form a rapport with our residents, which would enhance the role for both parties.
Although this is a role with responsibilities, our history of call outs shows that the sleep-in person is disturbed overnight rarely. However, in the event that they were disturbed, a calm and organised response would be essential.
If you feel you would like more information on this role, please send an email to manager@fairbanksociety.com or phone 015242 71077
